Participation – Written Bids / Telephone Bids

Written bids and registrations for telephone bidding (a written security bid is required; telephone bidding is available only subject to staff availability and prior arrangement) will only be accepted if accompanied by a bank confirmation issued by a German credit institution and received no later than 24 hours before the auction (12:00 noon CEST). The Bid Form (PDF) can be downloaded from our website under Auction Calendar. Complete the form electronically, sign it electronically (electronic signatures are accepted), indicate the relevant auction number and return it by e-mail or fax. For online live auctions, bids may be submitted: online, in writing, or by telephone (subject to prior approval). Telephone bidders will be contacted approximately five minutes before their lot is offered for sale. Bidder Registration and Deposit In accordance with the German Money Laundering Act (GwG) and applicable auction regulations, we are legally required to verify the identity of every bidder. Therefore, registration requires payment of a EUR 1.00 security deposit by bank transfer under auction number 2610 The transfer must originate from a bank account held in the bidder's own name. Payments from third-party accounts cannot be accepted. The deposit serves exclusively for identification purposes and authorises participation in the auction. Where previous payment defaults or doubts regarding a bidder's financial capacity exist, we reserve the right to require an additional security deposit of up to the estimated purchase price. The amount of such deposit shall be determined by the auctioneer conducting the auction. The security deposit will either: be credited against the purchase price, or be refunded after completion of the auction. Should the successful bidder fail to complete payment or collection of the purchased assets, or breach Sections 14 or 15 of the Auction Terms and Conditions, the security deposit shall be forfeited as liquidated damages.

Buyer's Premium

Risk passes to the purchaser immediately upon the fall of the hammer. Payment is due immediately in Euros by one of the following methods: instant online bank transfer, same-day bank transfer, certified central bank cheque (where applicable), or an irrevocable bank-certified cheque. As we act in a fiduciary capacity and are required to ensure immediate settlement, subsequent bank transfers cannot be accepted.

Language

The auction is conducted exclusively in the German language. If you do not fully understand German, we strongly recommend using a professional translator or interpreter before participating. Although our staff may be able to provide limited assistance in English, French or Spanish, the legally binding auction procedure and all declarations are made in German. Methods of Bidding Bids may be submitted: in person, online, in writing, or by telephone (subject to prior arrangement and staff availability). Written bids must be received and confirmed by us no later than 24 hours before the auction begins in order to be considered.
